Site by A Net Gain For Revenue (aNetGain.com)

A Net Gain For Revenue places a high value on complying with standards set by the W3C and endorsed by major developers including Microsoft, Netscape and Opera. The goal of these standards is to provide predictable rendering across browsers and platforms to provide visually rich presentation layers and enhanced usability. Additional development effort went into delivering standards-based terse coding for fast downloads and simplified maintenance. This site was developed using Cascading Style Sheets and XHTML which allows reliable small screen rendering for cell phones and hand-helds. It has been tested for compatibility in the following browsers:

  • Internet Explorer 6x and higher
  • Opera 7x and higher
  • Firefox
  • Safari (Macintosh)

Visitors using older browsers can see the site contents but the full impact of the visual presentation may not be available. Upgrading to a newer version is recommended.

Cascading Style Sheets and XHTML

The development team at aNetGain.com works together to create the unique palette, type appearance and layout of this custom design. This look, developed exclusively for this site, resides in the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) which is applied to every page on the site. By putting the formatting and design code in CSS and leaving it out of the XHTML, the pages we create contain content unique to each page. Search engines can quickly validate the XHTML on the page and database the content, increasing the usefulness of the website as a business tool. A robots.txt file was created in the root directory to guide search engine crawlers to the correct files and to safeguard images and other material on the server. A favicon was created to highlight the link when the site is added to a Favorites list. Through the power of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), additional pages can be quickly created simply by creating the content and attaching the style sheet.
